Context
Terra Photography is an Adelaide-based photography business specialising in weddings, engagements, family and maternity. In 2025, I was approached to update the logo with a more distinctive mark, while retaining the brand’s feminine tone and black-and-white foundation.
Approach
The typography was updated to a modern sans serif to improve legibility and clarity across digital and print. The new logomark combines a camera aperture with the image of a sun on the horizon, symbolising light, life, and new beginnings. The ground forms a subtle “T” for Terra, layered with topographic lines to reinforce a connection to earth.
Outcome
The result is a refined and timeless brand identity that feels elevated yet approachable. The updated typography and unqiue logomark give Terra Photography a clear point of distinction in a crowded market.
